  1. There is absolutely no way she could have picked up that big bin of grease and raised it so high. Grease is really heavy. When I was a cook we had a contained about half that size and it took two of us to carry it out to the grease trap and we could only get it about two or three feet off the ground. When we actually had to lift it up to the grease trap it took a deep breath and a short spurt of strength.

  2. Nevermind, after re-watching that I see that the grease was on the floor and she was carrying boiling water.

  3. Yeah, these are our “smarten up” commercials here in Canada. they’re put on by the WSIB (Workplace Safety and Insurance Board). it’s becoming a very big thing. There’s a few of these commercials: Guys getting impaled by forklifts, girls falling off ladders into plate glass display cases… even radio commercials about your hands being crushed by a 10 ton press from poor training.

They’re graphic because they’re trying to drive a message home - they were quite controversial when they first came out.

Personally I agree with them - being a general contractor in the construction industry as a profession, I can agree that there really is no such thing as an “accident” it can all be prevented. If something does happen to an employee while under your supervision there are MAD fines, and possible jail time….
