Well, it looks like American auto makers are extending their employee discounts for another month. I realized when I read the story that this isn’t so much because they’re selling more cars with the discount prices — it’s more that they are getting people to buy at all.
In other words, people are buying them because that’s what they’re worth, and not a penny more. If you go any higher than that they’ll go back to the competition. I think they’re going to have to adjust the permanent price to that of the current employee price. And as for employees…well, they’re just going to get screwed.
