		<description>&lt;p&gt;I actually agree with you there. The reliability of the American offerings have in many cases surpassed that of the foreign competitors, so I completely agree.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;The problem is that consumers don't seem to see this. American carmakers are in a major crisis right now because they aren't making any money; most are opting for imports instead. It is because of this that they are doing the employee discounts, and that's what I was commenting on. Our car companies are in &lt;em&gt;really&lt;/em&gt; bad shape.&lt;/p&gt;

		<description>&lt;p&gt;I think you are missing that american cars have gotten really good. GM got rated higher then BMW. There is still a stigma accociated with american cars and people that will never give them the chance. If you have not looked at an american car in the last few years you really should take a look.&lt;/p&gt;
