  1. That’s interesting, Daniel I want to ask you please do you think when I buy a new brand MacBook Pro today, the upcoming Leapord OS will work on it?

    Thanks Iris

  2. @iris

Your MacBook Pro would run Leopard easily and probably the next few Apple OSes.

Yes, no problems there whatsoever. That’s the beauty of Macs; they hold their value much longer.

  4. Yes, although re-coloring widgets isn’t exactly what all developers want. I don’t know how far we could go in abolishing bitmap graphics. As I have seen it so far, Core UI is efficient and scaling images and lozenges, but it doesn’t always apply a full-vector approach. Of course, hacking this all would be trivial indeed.

What’s interesting is that you mention the abilities for theming, contrast with other designs, etcetera. I agree wholeheartedly - the new UI will be yet another thing in Leopard they got revamped completely, and in it’s current (very) early release builds for developers, we aren’t even scratching at the surface.

    Interesting read.

  5. Hi,

Thanks for the answers, one last question, is that if I buy MacBook Pro these days can I update my OS to Leapord without paying extra fees?

    Thanks Iris
