One thing I would have to point out is that all Unix systems are known to get better the more you use them. While I will agree that OS X does not need the updates and stuff added like windows, windows does get slower with time. I have been running osx for 8 mo now and I have not even thought about reinstalling. This is something that I can not do on windows. Check my blog I am going to post more about this.
