  2. I’d have written the pronunciation “duh-bel-you”- the b is definitely part of the second syllable when I say it.

    But, in practice, I stick with dub-dub-dub as well.

  4. For some reason, “dub dub dub” really gets on my nerves. Although, I’m probably not much better; half the time I catch myself skipping the middle syllable altogether which comes out dubbaya dubbaya dubbaya.

    “Tripple-DoubleYou” doesn’t bother me near as much.

    It also really annoys me when people try to pronounce acronyms.

    Earl for URL as one example.

    There are a lot more that I can’t remember right now, but Earl is definitely in my top 10.

  6. Ya’ll ain’t from south GA are ya. Down here it’s duh-bah-ya …. ya got to put some swang in it and drawl it out.

    (Funny subject to bring up. Never really thought about it. One letter that has 3 syllables!)
