There are plugins such as <a href="www.deanlee.cn/wordpress/permalinks-migration-plugin/" rel="nofollow">Dean’s permalink Migration Plugin</a> that you can use stop the old links from breaking.</p> <p>Also, just a <a href="http://www.scratch99.com/2007/06/wordpress-permalink-customisation-caution-for-beginners/" rel="nofollow">warning about using /category/postname/</a>. Many people suggest this, but using category isn't sensible unless you are very sure that your categories won’t change. If you change them as your blog matures, you break your permalinks.
