Well, perhaps she'd rather waste her mind on months of media coverage of Jon-Benet Ramsey or the more recent case in Aruba. Maybe it's just me, but these things are news ONCE (per incident). So, after the initial news item, the Jon-Benet thing should not have ever come back until the case is solved ... same thing with the Aruba incident. On the other hand, EACH and EVERY death of a man or woman serving in the armed forces is NEWS. Sure ... it's similar to the news from yesterday, but it's NEWS. And the fact that we keep getting the SAME news ought to trigger something somewhere. But you are right ... it is a telling quote. "It's not relevant." Sad.

    About dmiessler.com

This site is an avatar for my own self-assigned life purpose--an attempt to model the world in the most accurate way possible, and to do so without bias or fear of unpleasant truth. I desire to develop, articulate, and perpetually improve models of how things work, and then to use that understanding to increase happiness and reduce suffering. I seek those on similar paths and thrive on sharing an appreciation of the interesting and beautiful with others.
