The MacBookPro: A Version “A” Product Example

You know what my biggest peeve is with the MacBook? It's that the screen doesn't open wide enough anymore. It's limited to about a 45 degree angle and that's just not really enough (my 12" PowerBook does about 15-20 degrees more). I'll be able to live with it, but (beside the other stuff you mention) it's the most annoying thing.
  • # Wireless Card Issues : I've had issues with my TiBook connecting to my linksys as well. They've mysteriously gone away of late though *crosses fingers*
    # Sleep Recovery : Old, old old bug. I get this on my TiBook running 10.4 all the time. Specifically, it happens if the 'book gets woken from sleep, asks for a password, but gets no response. It will time out fairly quickly and go back to sleep - but then, when you do wake it and log in, you get re-asked for authentication exactly as you described. Even worse, if it work and re-slept three times, you have to log in 3 extra times (plus the first time, a total of four logins). I can't understand why Apple haven't fixed this yet..

Lastly... I hate to be a pedant, but the fact is, I am one. One of my pet hates is people confusing "wary" and "weary". You meant to be wary of version A products. Pedanting over...
  • Thanks for the comments, Zhasper. Actually I feel quite lame for the spelling error; thanks for the correction. I'm a bit of an English snob as well. :)
  • Your post just re-popped up in my aggregator because it was changed :)
