The Sad Irony of Who Voted For Prop 8

70% of black Californian’s voted to ban gay marriage in their state. It seems kind of weird, doesn’t it? A group that’s been discriminated against for so long, who just had a supreme moral victory, voting to remove the rights of others?
Oh, and over half of hispanics voted the same way. The reason given for these groups voting for Proposition 8? Yep, you guessed it–religion.
That’s just wrong–white voters supporting the rights of gays, while the blacks and hispanics team up and remove those rights. On the day the first black president is elected no less…
